ABOUT 1251 S. ELISEO

Episcopal Community Services (ECS) is a regional nonprofit organization which for over 40 years has been at the forefront of our community's efforts to address the homelessness crisis in the San Francisco Bay Area.

1251 S. Eliseo Drive is a 43-unit Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) development in Larkspur, which will serve adults experiencing chronic homelessness, defined as homelessness lasting a year or more and having a disabling condition (physical, behavioral, or developmental disability) in Marin. Residents will be assigned to the property through the Coordinated Entry System, which is a tool Marin County uses to assess people experiencing homelessness, determine their level of vulnerability, and match them with the appropriate resources and support to resolve their chronic homelessness.

PSH is an evidence based best practice which integrates flexible supportive services, tailored to meet each resident's unique needs. Research shows that this model reduces medical emergencies, jail stays, and substance use, and results in stable housing for most people. Residents will be provided with services which will help them improve their lives. These services include: case management, mental health support, medical services and connection to primary healthcare, healthy aging, workforce development, educational supports, benefits counseling and more. 1251 S. Eliseo Drive will be staffed by two and a half full-time case managers, one full-time behavioral health clinician, and one full-time Community Safety Ambassador, who will be overseen by a Clinical Associate Director of Housing Services.
A professional, third-party property management team with PSH expertise will be hired and there will be 24/7 property management on site through a combination of front desk staff and/or a live-in manager's unit. The development includes 43 studio units with kitchenettes and bathrooms, 1 live-in manager's unit, and communal spaces: kitchen, dining room, courtyards, and community room.
